Make lip balm?
Knowif Does nobody can melt pure shea butter to make flavored lip balm? I have done with beeswax and sunflower oils before but I think the shea butter work too hard. Anyone know of this?
Rainbow Prado has a recipe for lip balm that uses butter cocoa, but still requires an oil that is also used. It is a 1:1:2 ratio of butter, beeswax and oil. I would not recommend exchanging butter melted shea butter for oil unless the material is very soft, much softer than cocoa butter - after all, the melted butter will not stay forever, and the balm could end up being too tough once established. I will not post the entire recipe or a link to the site here, since the recipe is owned and I just do not like linking to commercial sites as part of a service like this, but an internet search for "Rainbow Meadow" - they have all kinds of recipes inspiration.
