Skin care for men Special Needs – We're for men

Let's face it. The average rate does not pay much attention to your skin, unless he has an obvious problem like red hair, excessively oily or dry and sensitive skin. The arrival of skin care and bath / body products for men is a phenomenon relatively new, and most men are not equipped to decipher the array of choices of products and applications to understand how that can actually benefit from routine care of normal skin. To complicate matters, many commercial products for men are made with ingredients that can aggravate your skin problems and even make them worse!

The man's skin is actually about 20% -30% thicker than women because of excess collagen and elastin, glands and facial hair produce more oil, so that many men suffer from oily skin. The key difference is that the skin care of a man must revolve around a daily routine that involves shaving your own set of unique requirements. The act of shaving itself can be abrasive to the skin as it removes the top layers of dead skin cells, leaving sensitive skin (shaving). Add to that oil-clogged pores and thick hairs that create bumps, when instead of grow out of the follicle, wind around and re-enter the skin, and you have a difficult situation that can only prevention or effective treatment if you have a good regimen of daily grooming.

Your routine does not have to be complicated, just that is followed consistently. The four key steps in the routine healthy skin care are cleansing, exfoliation, toning and hydration. Understanding why each of these steps you should also can help you identify the right products for use in each step and what to avoid.

1. Clean

Cleanliness is essential to control oily skin, balancing your skin's ability to regulate sebum production and prevent clogged pores. Ironically, cleaning products are made with harsh detergents that strip skin all its oil, leaving it dry and dull, which in turn, causes your sebaceous glands to work harder to compensate for the loss of natural oils. The result is the production of excess oil that brings you back to the problem you're trying to solve.

Use cleaning products made with castile soap – Usually with coconut and olive oils – they are very mild and gentle on your skin. If you have dry skin or combined case of a creamy cleanser. We recommend combining equal amounts Our Castilla-based soft cleansing and nourishing hand body wash and body lotion. For sensitive or irritated skin try to defuse the mixture containing chamomile and lavender. For a mint feeling fresh and clean try Refresh. If bar soaps are your preference, use one that is based glycerine soap super-fat or made with a rich moisturizer as shea or cocoa butter.

2. Exfoliate

Regular exfoliation helps to unclog pores, which is key to fighting acne. In addition to allowing for a closer shave (and fewer ingrown hairs, lifting the beard of the surface of the skin), regular use of a scrub improve the appearance and texture of the skin by removing dead skin cells to expose newer, softer underneath. Choose a scrub with sugar, salt or gentle exfoliating jojoba and accounts to increase its abrasive action, without peeling.

This step must be done before shaving, to ensure a closer, smoother shave. The most acute is the razor and the closer you can get into your skin, the less pressure to be applied when shaving. This will decrease the irritation and redness and help prevent ingrown hairs. Be sure to use a lubricant shaving cream or lotion to prevent scratching. Once again, the combination of gentle cleansing and nourishing hand body wash and body lotion works well for this special Revitalize in the mix with its combination Rosemary, cedar wood, citrus and essential oils.

3. Tone

Resist the temptation or habit of using a after-shave treatment for alcohol-based! This will only aggravate the already irritated skin. A good toner should soothe and calm irritated or inflamed skin, rebalancing the pH of your skin and tighten pores without drying the skin – which is what the alcohol.

Your best bet is a toner that contains witch hazel (a natural astringent) vegetable glycerin (moisturizer), aloe (to normalize the skin), and essential oils of lavender, chamomile, and cedar wood, or lavender hydrosol. Visit the blog to drop drop a recipe toner you can do yourself.

4. Moisturize

After cleaning and shaving, applying cream moisturizer.
